Hey guys! Just a friendly reminder that the contest ends in just one month! Let's see a good turnout guys!

OMG GAIZ! I have 10,000+ pageviews! This definitely calls for a celebration :3 hmmm...maybe I should draw something up, haven't done that in a while. YEAH! That's what I'm gonna do!




1. Open to all users that participate in any dA specific roleplaying chatroom. Submissions must have a title and what chatroom the subject is used in(if it's chatroom specific, such as #JediOrder).
2. Only one submission per user. I want you to put your absolute best into this one submission, make it a magnum opus!
3. This contest is open for all types of Media i.e. Digital and Traditional Photography, Painting, Drawing, etc. but no Literary works such as poems and short stories.
4. The subject is your favorite RP character that you use in your favorite RP Chatroom. Your subject must be portrayed doing what they do best, whether fighting, reading, healing things, etc. Submissions can contain other types of characters, such as characters from the actual Star Wars galaxy or Harry Potter Universe or Lord of the Rings Genre, will be allowed. The only restriction is that your character must be in that same submission as well.
5. No using copywrited material i.e. If we see that you took an image from another member or off of some place like google, you shall be denied. In other words your submission must be completely brand new!
6. No sexual or explicit situations/language i.e. vulgar poses or phrases, pr0nz, porn, hentai, yaoi etc. This is meant for all ages and should follow the dAmn and chatroom specific rules.
8. Contest ends August 1st, submissions after that will not be accepted.
9. Judging will be held the week of August 2nd through the 8th.
10. Have fun and do your utmost best!

If you don't roleplay, but you have a character that is your own and original, that is allowed as well. This is to extend the contest even more to have more participants!
If you want, you can submit your entry ahead of time and then continue sending updates or versions. But by the time the deadlines comes about you must pick a final submission, or we'll pick one for you.
Please reply via comment to this journal to tell me if you're going to participating or not. Reason being, I will be sending a note to all contestant, judges, and donators a week before the contest is up as a reminder.




The whole point of this contest is to push users to the greatest lengths of their creativity, imagination, and artistic abilities to create some of the greatest pieces of artwork depicting their RP Character. A quick, five minute drawing probably isn't going to get you anywhere, unless you're that amazing and you can create DaVinci caliber that fast. You have a lot of time to spend on your submission, so take advantage of it! Your submission should make people "Ooh" and "Aah", amazement!

If you are going to take photos of yourself in a costume... we don't want to see you and your buddies all high at a mall and causing chaos. So be mindful of your location and your pose. Standing there won't make anyone smile or cower in fear, and nor will silly denizens of the universe making funny faces in the background help (unless it's of course on purpose and has relative meaning). Be tasteful and creative!

If you are drawing or painting keep in mind about the same things listed for the Photographers. You can do all sorts of things like a head and shoulders view or full view. Comics are a great idea, so are group poses and action scenes. Knock off socks with your artwork!





1^st Place: A 1 year subscription on dA, or $50 via paypal account, or choice of devWear/print (limit $50). PLUS An extra 1 month subscribtion on dA, provided by =Lord-FSan!
2^nd Place: Two, three month subscriptions on dA, or $40 via paypal account, or choice of devWear/print (limit $40).
3^rd Place: A three month subscription on dA, or $30 via paypal account, or choice of devWear/print (limit $30).
Runner Ups(2): A one month subscription on dA.

If the winner does not have a paypal account, then they must satisfy with their original prize. All contestants will receive an honorable mention and be featured in a news article.
PLUS the 1^st through 3^rd winners will be featured in =Lord-FSan's Journal!

Sidenote: If you are willing to donate to the prize list, please note me! If the winner chooses devWear/print, they will be required to add it to their wishlist so I can buy it for them, dA will then send the item to their address; the price limit will be enforced, however the amount of items will not as long as the total cost doesn't exceed the price limit. Hint: Offering prizes such as prints, stamps, avatars, i.e. things you'd have to commission to complete for free will promote you as an artist!
